Lindauer DORNIER GmbH is one of the world's technology leaders with its weaving machines, special machines and composite systems. In 2021, the German family-owned company with around 1000 employees (including more than 60 trainees) achieved an order intake of more than 510 million euros. In plant engineering, DORNIER is the market leader in the engineering and production of film stretching lines for the manufacture of ultra-thin plastic films. In addition to the packaging industry, including above all the food (including flexible packaging) and pharmaceutical product sectors, these are used in solar cells, lithium-ion batteries, semiconductors and capacitors for hybrid vehicles and as film displays in smartphones, flat screens and tablets. In the Composite Systems division, the machine manufacturer bundles its decades of experience in the design of weaving machines and the manufacture of film stretching systems. All machines and systems are manufactured at the German production sites in Lindau and Esseratsweiler. The export share is over 90 % (as of 2022).
